Chris makes his debut with Artemisia, a Chicago Theatre, with a reading of The Malta Play.
Kirsten Ebsen‘s play is part of the Artemisia Fall Festival 2017, which features six women-empowered works.
Based on actual events, The Malta Play depicts two British Quaker women who survive imprisonment by the Inquisition on the island of Malta.
Directed by Rachel Sledd Iannantuoni, Chris plays the Dominican friar Malachi, the leader of the Inquisition, opposite Robin Margolis as Katherine and Julie Proudfoot as Sarah. The cast also includes Christian Isely, Blake Holen, Daniel Chenard, Richard Esteras, and Joan Nahid.
The play will be performed October 2, 7:30pm, at the Edge Theater. Admission is free.
