Des McAnuff’s production of Shakespeare’s Henry V, opens tonight at the Stratford Festival. It’s the 60th anniversary of Stratford’s first opening night — Alec Guinness as Dickie Crookback in Richard III, directed by Tyrone Guthrie.

Our show (starring Aaron Krohn as Hank Cinq) is unbelievably huge. An enormous drawbridge, cast of nearly 40, live musicians, sword battles, live archery, horses (well, saw horses). I play Corporal Nim and the Earl of Salisbury — which means I have to try to hold my own with Tom Rooney, Lucy Peacock, Randy Hughson and Sophia Walker. Not the easiest task. They may eat me alive.

It’s so exciting to be a part of a special evening like this!

Here’s the write-up from Playbill.
