New Play Reading for Equity Library Theatre

A reading of Paul Lewis’s new play The Names, concerning a Jewish opera star defending her sister in World War II Milan.


Chris appeared in a staged reading of Paul Lewis‘s new play The Names for Equity Library Theatre. The reading, directed by Robert W. Behr, was part of ELT’s All Access series, which presents works featuring minority protagonists. The cast also featured Diana Boos, Aaron M. Davidson, Alexander Pannullo, Laurie Carter Rose, and Grace Smith.

The Names features an Italian opera star who tries to save her rebellious sister by collaborating the Nazis. A pair of American GIs and two Germans, a professor and a Gestapo official, round out characters in German-occupied Italy.
